Covington – George Eugene Hershberger, 79, of 602 Railroad St, died at 5 p.m. Monday Sept 25 in Covington Manor Health Care, Covington.  He was born Nov 29, 1915 in Fountain County and was a lifelong resident of the county.  He moved to Covington in 1940 from south of Veedersburg. He was the John Deere farm equipment dealer in Covington for many years before retiring in 1985.  His marriage was Nov 3, 1940 to Reba K Cruea in Henderson Ky and she died March 27, 1983. Surviving are a son, Paul A. Hershberger of Crawfordsville, two sisters, Goldie M. Yerkes of Tilton Ill and Gladys Hobson of Covington. - kz
